Didn't some say in a previous thread that Mark had a four month backlog? It will be quite difficult to deliver these at ASIA which is only three weeks away. Someone better give Mark Kett a call and find you what is possible.

Right now if I added correctly were at 549. I just sent Mark Kett an email and I hope to hear back today.

Mark Joy - your idea will work perfectly, Ill have Mark Kett ship them directly to you, we will take a roll call here as to who will be attending ASIA, you can bring them with you. As for those that wont, are you willing to do the packing and reshipping? I recomend shipping the kerfing in tubes. Unless you have to big of an order i.e. Steve's 100. I think 40 would fit in a tube no problem.

Your thoughts?

Lance, Mark Joy,
If you ship them USPS Priority Mail, you can get free tubes from the USPS. You can either go to the post office and pick some up or oder them online. I've used them when I ship my linings and they work great.
Good luck, glad I'm not making 550 of my linings. Pwoolson38498.3508101852

All right, Here's the way I have it so far.

ASIA for sure
Lance         & nbsp; 20
MJoy         &n bsp;  20
Steve R @ Col. 100
Tom D.         &nbs p;40
Harbin           25
------
Total         & nbsp;205

Unknown if going to ASIA -- assume not
Jeff Doty       40
M McClain       60
Dave Rector     20
Ed Barajas      20
Gary Cote       40
Buddy Lee       40
Paul Schulte    24
JJ Donohue      20
Jerry Hossum    20
Scott Thompson 25
Keith MacKenzie 40
Steve Kinnaird 20
-------
Total         & nbsp;369

Grand total    574

That leaves 11 to ship out unless some more of you are coming to ASIA. Come on, do it for me if not for yourselves.

I have no clue as to shipping, though Paul's suggestion makes the packing easier for most orders. It may not be the cheapest. Are there any other sub-groupings that can save some? (LINT members?, etc).

I'm not sure how to collect for shipping. I'm willing to put forth some effort, but sure can't afford to eat any shipping or unclaimed kerf. I have PayPal, but have only ever used it for paying (story of my life). I'll look into the receiving a little when I get a chance.

I'll also research a bit on shipping methods/costs. I have a mailroom at work that is pretty good about some shipping but this borders on a commercial effort and I'm not sure how they'll take it. I'll check on that. They can do UPS, FedEx, USPS for sure, if they're willing.

I'll need mine shipped. The Priority or first class postal shipping method would probably be the easiest if your mailroom can't/won't do it.

You may already know this, but the USPS has a new way to ship things. Whether you buy tubes or use the free Priority tubes, you can get on the USPS website and print labels and pay postage online. When the packages are labeled you can also request pickup (also via the website) by your local mail carrier at no extra charge. So, no trips to the P.O. and no waiting in line. I think they also include free delivery confirmation numbers if you use their website.

Sorry guys, mine will have to be shipped too. I am not able to make it to ASIA this year.

PayPal seems like it would be the best way to take care of the payments. How about if we all pay Lance for the linings and the shipping. Then Lance could either cut a check or use PayPal to pay MJoy.

Is it still possible to get in on this? I would like 12 of them, and might be at ASIA to pic them up. The reason I don't know is because I will be flying stand by, and if the flights are full, then I won't be there. Let me know Lance/Mark.

depends on airline...I always try to check my package at the plane, when actually boarding. This way it is hand carried to the hold...usually the last item on the plane and first item off. When de-planing they hand it right back to you. No Baggage handlers = less chance of breakage/loss. I do the same with guitars.
